Applicant Requirements

Staff need to obtain their own accommodation. The nearest town is Fairlie, a very compact village that services the surrounding farm land; rentals or inexpensive motels can usually be found in Fairlie.

When the mountain is open, everyone works. Days off occur when the mountain is closed due to snow/wind, and may be rostered later in the season.

Due to the large number of applications, we are only able to reply to applicants who are suitable and we have vacancies for.

To be eligible applicant must:

Have a valid work permit/visa.
Be available for face-to-face interviews, this is very important!
Be able to hold a conversation in English.
Non smoker.
Have a good attitude toward guests and team.
Follow health and safety rules.
Be available to work the entire season, which typically runs from late June to early October.

Head Ski Patroller

This position requires strong leadership and problem solving skills. Advanced skiing skills, a high level of first aid proficiency and extensive knowledge of zip ties and duct tape.

Head of Snowsport’s School

Rental Shop Attendant
