Access Road Conditions
Mt Dobson has one of the easiest access roads in the country. 15 km long and maintained to a high standard it is suitable for both buses and motorhomes. It is a 40 minute drive from State Highway 8, the main inland route between Queenstown and Christchurch, to the ski field car park (including chain fitting).

As with all alpine roads in New Zealand, due caution and respect must be paid to the weather and road conditions at any time of the year. Please drive carefully and safely as weather conditions can affect the driving conditions with little advance warning.
