2010 Ski Scholarship

Mount Dobson Ski and Snowboard Club are inviting applicants to complete the 2010 Ski Scholarship Application Form right now.

Who qualifies?

a. Boys & girls 8 years to 14 years. (As of 1st January 2010)
b. Permanent residents of South Canterbury
c. Must be able to ski & have access to full equipment (helmet recommended)
d. Have a source of transport
e. Must be available to ski each Sunday -July and August

What you get!

First Recipient:

i. Full 2010 season ski pass at Mt Dobson Ski Area
ii. Free use of new skis, boots & poles for 2010
iii. Free Sunday ski clinics with a top coach
iv. Free club membership
v. A place in the Dobson Ski Team
Estimated value $700

Second  Recipient:

i.  Full 2010 Season ski pass at Mt Dobson Ski Area
ii. Free Sunday ski clinics with a top coach
iii. Free club membership
Estimated value $550

Three Runner-Ups:

Three children will each receive:
i. Free club membership (cheaper ski tickets)
ii. Free Sunday ski clinics
Estimated value $250 each

Parents: This is a chance to propel your keen child into dynamic, positive sport, mixing with positive people and experiences. Please help fill out the application with your child. A bus is available at the gate to take people up but most applicants will receive a list of contacts that they can use to get rides up the mountain each weekend.  Obviously proper gear, clothing, food and money would need to be organised as it can be a hostile zone at times if not prepared. Being a smaller field support is always there and they will be with new mates most of the time. The seasons pass allows them to ski any day the field is open and has other discounts too.
